What Can We Learn About Teaching And Learning From These Teachers?
http://img-bie-org.s3.amazonaws.com

The first video was Back to The Future by Brian Crosby. In the first video, when he asks the students some questions about  what their city, state, address, or phone number is, most of them don't know. This happened on the second day of school. After that he gives them the possibilities like empowerment, connection, motivation, inclusion, activity, and collaboration. He teaches them to write blog posts about it. The students learn a lot when they use the blog to read, write, clarify, and share feedback, writing to tell stories, creativity, authentic audience, and remember the science, high hopes, and art.

The blended learning cycle video. Paul  Anderson explains how he is using the blended learning cycle in his science class. The blended learning is done online and in the classroom. Together they are used to engage, explore, explain, expand, and evaluate the cycle. They move through the following to understand these steps: question, investigation/inquiry, video, elaboration, review, and summary quiz.

The making thinking visible by Mark Church. He spoke about how the teacher got his students to work  in small groups. The students learn that they need to discuss and connect what they know. This is a good way to teach them to make thinking visible.

Super digital Citizen by Sam Pane. He teaches his students about how to create superheroes and be safe, responsible, and respectful online. He teaches the students to write narratives to develop imagined experiences or events. He teaches them to analyze how visual and multimedia elements contribute to text and to ask and answer questions.

Project Based Learning by Dean Shareski. This video shows three teachers speaking about how they restructured their day to incorporate the project based learning and how important and useful PBL can be.

Roosevelt Elementary PBL Program. It explains about how to use project based learning in class. They start giving the students public speaking to help them to not be nervous or shy. Project based learning teaches the students how to work together.

What can we learn from Mrs. Cassidy?

First Graders in Mrs. Cassidy class. I saw in video student show how they can use the classroom webpage, and blog. I think the blog post it is good idea to practice the skill writing, when the student use the Skype in classroom. They learn to speak with quest speaker. It is good way to get another teacher or any one from another world. In wikis the student learns about the project and when they edit.

The first interview with Mrs. Cassidy. She spoke about when she start used the technology in her classroom with five computers before ten year age. She give good example how the technology can be used to teach the student skill writing and find the information from the internet.

The second interview with Mrs. Cassidy. I like the idea use the blog to develop the skill writing and, it allow the student engaged to other writing. The parents will approach. They can view what the student work online.

The third interview with Mrs. Cassidy. She answered of Dr. Stranger’s student questions. I learn and found much information when she answers the question about use the technology in classroom.

Seven Essentials For Project Based Learning. I learned from this that lesson plans need to use steps to work very well. The first step we need to know here is that the teacher could powerfully activate students' need to know content by launching a project with one "entry event" that gauges interest and initiates questioning. An entry event can be any thing like a video, a lively discussion,  a guest  speaker, and a field trip. A good driving question captures the heart of the project in clear, compelling language, which gives students purpose and a challenge. The project without a driving question is like an essay without a thesis.

Project based learning for teacher is good because it is inquiry based, open-ended, has problem-solving, and is personalized. The video shows many facts about PBL. This video shows skills that students will use for the rest of their lives like collaboration skills, critical thinking skills, communication skills, and career and life skills.

Project based learning and physical education. This article shows how you can use project based learning. The PBL gives the students relevant and authentic task problems.

What motivates students. I learned what types of things to say that motivates students to do well, and the students can be motivated in many different ways. For example, like when the student hears you say "good job". The student wants to do well in life.

Project based learning with PE. It shows that project based learning activities can be done in PE, as well as in the classroom. It is a good idea because we need to teach the students physical fitness to use in real life.

Randy Pausch was a professor at University Carnage Molten."The Last lecture " is title the lecturer . This lecture spoke about an educator, knowledge, learning and a dream. He has a way of making education easy to understand and fun. He shows us how fun can be a good way to teach students and how teachers can use that to teach students difficult things through fun.

He spoke about his childhood dream to work on the engineering team at Disney but, he does think the best way to help students find their dreams is to become a teacher. When he teaches he doesn't limit his students on what they are working in their projects.

I think the message of Randy Pausch is everyone needs some body to help them and we need to keep trying for our dreams. I will teach that to my students in my future class room. To show the

Implications and Teaching Opportunities For Camera Use in Teaching And Learning.

Part A:
The recent "Study By Zogby Analytice". This report regarding young people aged 18-24. 80% says that the very first thing they do in the morning is reach for their smartphones. 90% they say that having a camera on their smartphone is important (61%very important). This makes the smartphone a very important tool for students to study with and do school work with. Most students use the camera to take pictures of power-points or pages of homework.

I think the smartphone can help students to do research and make studying very easy. Smartphones can help the student learn another  language very easily when they download the Google translate app. The student can use the dictionary app to look up the meaning the word to help them in their homework.

Part B:
I think project based learning is a good way to give the students freedom to do or make any thing they want or care about. The lesson they learn can give the student classroom time to reflect. The reflection shows the student can do a skill the correct way and the student can enhance their education.

C4T#2 Post 1 and 2

I was assigned with "Thinking /Stick". The first post spoke about privacy in Google to use information and the bank to keep data safe. He writes about what we love in technology, like when we do a Google search, and at the same time we hate the technology, like when they know so much about us. My comment was, "Hi! I think the privacy with technology is difficult. We trust Google and at the same time  we worry about the information or images they have of us."
The second post about "We Need Better Presentation ". He wrote about how a bad presentation is just a bullet point heavy slide that doesn't engage the audience in any way. My comment was, "Hi Jeff!I agree with you about how we need better presentations. We don’t need another generation growing up believing that presentations are about bullet points." He wrote about how to make good presentations.
1-Take every bullet point and put it on its own slide.
2- Images-find big beautiful images that help form the point.
3-Handouts are your friends.
4-A presentation is about the presenter not the slide deck.
5-Expect more from our students. We need to do more for the students.

How Do We All Become Learners?
This video is very helpful to me to see the fact of the teacher and classroom at work. I am not good
with technology and I think it is my weakness. My strength is that I will learn a lot from the class EDM310 and I will apply what I am learning in my classroom.

How to make an audio QR code. This video shows me step by step how to create my own QR code. It is easy to understand and follow the steps. After I graduate, I will use it in my classroom. I will create an audio QR code that will allow me to read stories to my students from a recording.

Reading Center. This video is very helpful. The students used the iPads to record themselves while  reading and than they go back to check if they have mistakes. This way allows the students to help teach themselves.

Poplet as a Center. This is a good app to teach the students how to create the small slide show to see what the students know about the book they read. The students take pictures from the book and add text to the pictures they take until they have enough to make a small slide show.

Alabama virtual library as kindergarten center. In this video we learn about a website where students can search for the meaning of a word, and the site gives them pictures for the word and they should draw and write sentence about it.

Student's sharing board builder. This video shows how you can use the board builder app to allow students to work together on a project by sharing what they found on the Internet about the project.

Using iMovie and virtual library in kindergarten. This video shows Dr. Strange and two teachers teaching kindergarten. They spoke about how students in kindergarten can use iMovie and make book trailers.

We all become Learners. In this video, we see the teachers teaching the students and the students teaching the teacher. This is a good thing because the students can make lessons teaching, and they want to teach what they are learning.
